Clinical Study: Massage therapy reduces migraine headaches.

Research:
In a study, 26 adults with migraines were randomly assigned to either a waitlist control group or a massage therapy group. Participants in the massage group received two 30-minute treatments per week for five consecutive weeks.

Results:
Participants in the massage therapy group reported:

  • Fewer symptoms of stress and strain
  • Reduced pain
  • More headache-free days
  • Fewer Sleep Disorders
  • An increase in serotonin levels
