Alpha Techno

Alpha Techno is based in Tauberbischofsheim and has been in business for over 30 years. This makes the brand one of the first companies to introduce massage chairs to Europe at all, at a time when no one here was familiar with them yet and the market consisted almost entirely of Japanese products.

Development takes place in Germany, with manufacturing primarily in China; for older models, some of the chairs came from Japan and Taiwan. Part of this history is the company’s role as an importer: For years, Alpha Techno imported Human Touch chairs from the U.S. and older Family Inada models from Japan to Germany. Anyone who owns one of these chairs today most likely acquired it through this channel.

The Current Models

The AT-629 features the “Chair Doctor-AI” function: Sensors detect where the back is tense, and the control system uses this information to create a customized program. The AT-6260 massages the entire body with Shiatsu rollers and air cushions. The AT-8701 is the shoulder massager in the series and targets the upper back, for anyone experiencing discomfort between the neck and shoulder blades .

It is controlled via a remote control: You select the massage type, adjust the intensity and speed, and turn on the heat in the leg area or the foot massage. The covers are available in faux leather and genuine leather.

Which one is right for you?
