From a Handheld Massager to the Casada Titan Massage Chair—Tina Shares Her Story

Tina has gone from using handheld massage devices to scheduling regular massage appointments at a studio, and has now found her way to her own massage chair.

Tina, you decided to buy a massage chair—how did that come about?

Because of my job, I often experience muscle tension due to sitting in front of the computer. Sometimes it’s in my back, sometimes in my neck, so I’ve needed regular massages. Of course, that was very time-consuming, and it doesn’t always allow for much flexibility. As someone who’s solution-oriented, I thought about how I could bring relaxation into my own home, and that’s when I came up with the idea of buying a massage chair.

Of course, I’ve tried other things as well. Among them were handheld devices that are also supposed to be suitable for massaging certain areas of the body. However, I found that just using them leads to renewed tension, since you’re never really able to relax during the treatment—you have to keep guiding the device the whole time. It’s not that easy once you’ve been trying to do it continuously for ten or twenty minutes. It’s just not as pleasant as sinking into a massage chair, closing your eyes, and being able to relax immediately. That way, I can wind down better and forget about everyday life—which was very important to me.

You got advice on massage chairs at our showroom—how was that for you?

What was great for me was that there was a really wide selection. It wasn't limited to a single price range either, but ranged from entry-level models to high-end ones. I was able to test the differences between them, see how the models felt, and get a good sense of what they were like. That way, I could gradually decide for myself which features were less important to me and which ones I absolutely wanted.

It was also very interesting for me to be able to feel right away: “Okay, this massage chair doesn’t suit my body or me, but the other model is practically made for me.” In that regard, the consultation was also essential, as it repeatedly emphasized that the massage chair really has to match not only personal preferences but also individual anatomy in order to be fully effective. You quickly realize that not every expensive, high-end model is necessarily the perfect choice, which I found very fascinating.

Two things that really stood out to me as positive aspects of the consultation were, first, that there was absolutely no pressure or artificial push to buy. You really took your time without being pushy—I especially appreciate that. Another thing that was important to me is that, should anything ever break, I have a knowledgeable contact person I can talk to who will be there to help me.

Other retailers tend to pass the buck to the manufacturer, leaving customers feeling pretty much on their own. I noticed this when I reached out via email and phone. They’re always easy to reach and consistently knowledgeable and helpful—which is why I decided to buy from them.

You chose the Casada Titan—why?

Actually, I had two models on my shortlist, but in the end, how the Titan felt was the deciding factor. I sat down, and it just fit perfectly. The second important feature was the yoga-stretch function, which gently stretches my back in the opposite direction. For me, this provides the ideal counterbalance to sitting for hours on end—during which I always sit hunched forward, which is actually not how you’re supposed to sit. So you'll definitely prefer the massage chair over the handheld massager in the future?

You can count on that! Looking back, I probably ended up with just as much tension from the handheld massager as I originally wanted to relieve. That’s why I appreciate my new Casada Titan so much more.
