Support, troubleshooting, demanding customers—as a full-service IT company, you’re constantly under pressure and stress. Most of the work is done sitting in front of a screen, and after a long day, that takes a physical toll.

Yuliy Finkelstein is the CEO of the IT security company 2F IT and understands his employees’ situation very well. In an interview, he told us how he came up with the idea of boosting employee satisfaction and motivation by purchasing a massage chair, and he shared his experiences as a customer of Massagesessel Welt. A massage chair at work—Yuliy, how did that happen?

To be honest, the idea didn’t come from me in the first place, but from one of my employees. Of course, as a CEO, you notice when tension and stress are rising and how that affects work. In our industry, where we spend most of our time sitting, this is even more critical for overall well-being. Leon, what are some typical physical complaints caused by daily work?

Despite my relatively young age, I’ve noticed that because I sit so much—especially in the lower back—I already frequently struggle with discomfort and pain. Admittedly, my posture at work isn’t the best, and that certainly contributes to the problem, but I’m sure this affects many other people with similar office routines as well. Massages are an effective way to relieve these symptoms, and I’ve discovered that for myself. That’s why I was all the more excited about the idea that, in the future, we’ll have the opportunity to relax both physically and mentally right at our workplaces.

I already knew Michael Roedeske from before and knew that he was the right person to talk to about massage chairs. So we gave him a call on the spot, set up an appointment, and drove over. I wasn’t familiar with the showroom or the product lineup yet, and I have to admit that the selection really impressed me. We’re usually very absorbed and focused on our work, and we weren’t disturbed at all by the delivery or installation. You can really feel a different atmosphere in the office since we got our massage chair.
