The “Zero Gravity” position—known in German as the weightlessness position—was developed by NASA’s research department for astronauts who spend long periods in a state of weightlessness. In this position, the spine is in a neutral position, which reduces pressure on the joints, muscles, and lower back. Because zero-gravity recliners distribute body weight ideally, pressure points and muscle tension are reduced.
